Large Systems: Water and Wastewater
WhiteWater has certified professionals who can manage, monitor, and maintain any size water or
wastewater facility. Our operators have diverse training in every type of water and waste water system, and they are available for 24-hour-a-day service. We provide the necessary staff to ensure steady operation and compliance with all federal laws and state regulations.
Water quality and contaminants will be monitored as required by the Safe Drinking Water Act using state certified laboratories. In addition, routine maintenance such as hydrant flushing, hydrant painting and valve exercising can be performed on your distribution system.
Our wastewater operations include MBR, RBC, FAST, Amphidrome, SBR, activated sludge plants and tertiary treatment systems. WhiteWater is one of the few operation and maintenance contractors qualified to operate Zenon® MBR facilities. Basic services include influent and effluent water quality sampling, regulatory compliance and reporting, and preventive maintenance.

Town of Southbridge, Southbridge, MA – WhiteWater, successor to the Southbridge Water Supply Co., has served the Town of Southbridge and surrounding areas since 1880, first as the owner of the water system and now as its contract operator. The Southbridge water system services approximately 17,000 people and extends its service into the neighboring communities of Charlton and Sturbridge. WhiteWater maintains and operates the towns five surface reservoirs, filtration plant, pump stations, storage tanks, as well as its entire distribution system.
City of Chelsea, Chelsea, MA – WhiteWater has provided service to the City of Chelsea since 1992. WhiteWater operates and maintains the city’s water, sewer and drain systems, including the pump stations, the combined sewer overflow facility, cross connection control program, and the entire distribution system for the city's 32,000 residents.
Hyannis Water System, Barnstable, MA – The Hyannis Water System consists of two treatment facilities, twelve pumping stations, 74,000 service connections and many miles of distribution pipes which WhiteWater is responsible for maintaining and operating. We have serviced the Hyannis System since 2006
